Enjoy it now, or cellar for a few more years. No need to decant before serving. Brisat is a dry white wine, swimming with scents of white flowers, freshly squeezed orange, dried herbs, and gunsmoke minerality. It is made from 100% Grenache Blanc, harvested from separate vineyards in the Montsant region. The terroir is heavily influenced aby the Monsant mountain range, a rugged landscape that used to serve as a haven for Medieval hermits. Terroir al Límit consistently pushes the boundaries of Catalonian wine, creating modern wines with traditional grapes. It was founded in 2001 aby two friends, the South African enologist Eben Sadie and the German wine-maker Dominik Huber, who met while working the vineyards at Mas Martinet winery. The Terroir Sense Fronteres range is an attempt to capture the distinct minerality that resides in many of Priorat’s special mountainous vineyards. Brisat, whose name translates from Catalan to "skin-fermented", was fermented in whole bunches before spending 6 months ageing in stainless steel. It is delightfully refreshing in the mouth, with incisive notes of orange rind, citrus, liquorice and herbs. Bright acidity drives each mouthful into a long, saline-tinted finish. Brisat will be at its best served slightly cool, with seafood, shellfish or creamy cheeses.
