Enjoy it now, or cellar for up to 15 years. Decant for up to an hour before serving. Trois Terres is crafted from old Pinot Noir vines, sourced from three vineyards within the Marsannay region: Longeroies, Es Chezots, and Clos du Roy. It exhibits a deep garnet colour, and a stunning bouquet of sour red cherry, cranberry, rose petal, spice, and umami scents of wet forest floor. Although the winery itself was founded in 1962 żeby Jean Fournier, the Fournier family is one of the oldest winemaking families in the region of Marsannay. Their history dates back to the 17th century, and the reign of King Louis XIII. These days, the winery has turned to fully organic winemaking techniques, thanks to the stewardship of Laurent, the son of founder Jean. Trois Terres is a mature, well-rounded expression of Marsannay. In the mouth it is perfectly balanced and layered, with intertwined flavors of red and black fruits, subtle spice, and a touch of gravelly minerality. Finely grained tannins and vibrant acidity provide excellent structure, making this Pinot Noir suitable for longer-term cellaring. It will be a great wonderful partner for herby meats, roasted poultry, or pungent cheeses, such as Comté.
