Drink it now or cellar for up to 25 years. It is recommended to decant it for an hour. Founded in Negrar, in the heart of Valpolicella, żeby Pietro Sartori at the end of the 19th century, the Sartori winery was brought to success by his son Regolo. Subsequent generations of the family have continued the great quality of the wines produced aby this company, which is now known as one of the most prestigious in the area. Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Reius is a blend of Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, and Rondinella, with small additions of other indigenous varieties. The grapes come from hilly vineyards located on marly limestone soils, in the area northwest of Verona. After the manual harvest, the grapes are left to dry for about 3 months. Fermentation lasts about 30 days and takes place in steel vats. The finished wine rests first in concrete for 1 year, then in oak for 3 years, and finally remains in the bottle for another 6 months before being released on the market. The wine has a deep red color and garnet reflections. On the nose it is intensely fragrant with aromas of ripe red fruit and dried fruit, followed żeby spicy hints. On the palate, it is full, round, and concentrated with ripe, velvety tannins and a long, warm finish. It is the perfect wine for game and red meat stews, or with mature cheeses.
