Châteauneuf Du Pape Fragments is a mostly Grenache blend, with additions of Syrah, Mourvedre, Counoise, and Clairette, coming from different plots, so that the various terroirs create a balanced and complex whole. The winemaking takes place half in cement eggs and half in clay amphorae, to guarantee the maximum fruity expression of the wine. The result is a lively and fragrant wine with intense aromas of red fruits (especially mulberry and blueberry), Mediterranean herbs such as thyme, marjoram, and lavender, and some hints of licorice. On the palate, it reveals deep and dynamic with a pleasant fruity intensity and a full body. The tannins are well integrated and the finish is long, fresh, and persistent. It's a great match for Greek-style roast lamb.
