The monograph which we hand over to the Reader is the result of international collaboration between employees and students of the Faculty of Law and Administration of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and representatives of legal doctrine from national and international research centres with a recognized position in the scientific community.
This publication responds to the need for legal doctrine for publications that strictly discuss the issues of freedom of speech, conscience, and religion. The analysis of the question of freedom of speech and confessional freedoms enables the proper understanding of these freedoms in the system of human rights and their significance in the modern democratic state of law.
This is of utmost importance especially in the current turbulent times when everyday life presents new challenges for each individual, and some countries more often than a decade ago resort to measures limiting human rights.
