Drink it now or cellar for up to 20 years. No need to decant. Based in Avize, in the heart of the Cote des Blancs, Champagne de Saint Gall is actually a cooperative of cooperatives founded in 1966 and which today has over 2000 members, around 1400 hectares of vineyards, and 13 production centers.
The vines are planted for more than half with Chardonnay and are distributed on parcels classified Premier and Grand Cru spread across the Cote des Blancs, Montagne de Reims, and Vallée de la Marne. The estate benefits from an exceptional diversity of plots and a wide selection of reserve wines.
This feature, combined with the great work in winemaking and the prolonged aging (at least 3 years for the classic vintage champagnes) in the house's vast chalk cellars, guarantees the production of wines of the highest quality.
This splendid Champagne is the quintessential Chardonnay. Its color is lively and bright with straw tones, golden reflections, and fine and persistent bubbles. On the nose, it reveals an elegant and fresh aromatic profile with notes of lemon and citrus, white flowers, and toasted hints.
On the palate, it is vibrant, round, and linear, with a full body and a strong character. It is powerful and mineral with a long refreshing finish. It is the ideal wine to pair with fish-based aperitifs, fresh cheeses, and poultry.
