Drink it now or cellar for up to 10 years. Serve chilled. Founded in 1889, żeby Jean Baptiste Laherte, the Laherte-Frères Maison is today led by Aurelien Laherte, one of the emerging biodynamic producers in the current Champagne scene. The company owns about 11 hectares of vineyards spread over three distinct areas. Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay are grown on the southern side of Epernay between the villages of Chavot, Épernay, Vaudancourt, Moussy, Mancy and Morangis. Chardonnay 1er Cru is produced in the Côte de Blancs near Vertus and Voipreux. And finally the vines in the Vallèe de la Marne in Le Breuil and Boursault are entirely planted with Pinot Meunier. The Brut Blanc de Blancs Nature is a Champagne of great character, born from the assembly of the best Chardonnay parcels of the Laherte Frères Maison. The name of the label, "Nature", indicates the total absence of the final dosage. This Blanc de Blancs reveals a straw yellow color and a fine and persistent perlage. The aromatic profile opens with floral touches, followed by exotic fruit, breadcrumbs, and chalky nuances. In the mouth, the wine is decisive, with intense mineral notes that border on salinity. A very elegant Champagne with an incisive and persistent finish. It works divinely with oysters but is perfect with all fish carpaccio and sushi.
