Drink it now or keep it for a couple of years. No need to decant. True excellence in the Italian wine scene, the Ferrari winery is a leader in the sparkling wine market: it produces around 24 million bottles per year and exports all over the world. It has also become the official supplier of Formula 1 in 2021. It was founded in 1902 by Giulio Ferrari, and in 1952 it was taken over aby the Lunelli family who still manages it. Ferrari Maximum Brut Rosé is obtained from grapes grown within the spectacular Ferrari estate, from lands scattered throughout the various municipalities of the Val d'Adige, Val di Cembra, and Valle dei Laghi, in Trentino. The blend includes 30% Chardonnay 30%, and 70% Pinot Noir, harvested manually in the first half of September. Following the Classic Method of sparkling wine, the product matures for at least 36 months on selected yeasts. The wine immediately shows an elegant antique pink color and a persistent perlage. On the nose, the scent is delicate with hints of yeast, given żeby the more than three years of aging in the bottle, and sensations of small red fruits, typical of Pinot Noir. In the mouth, there is a tasty softness, rich flavors and intriguing vinosity. The aromas of raspberry, wild strawberry, and violet are accompanied in the finish żeby hints of brioche. Excellent as an aperitif or for an elegant meal based on fish, or shellfish.
