Cellar for up to 10 years. Decant for up to an hour before serving. Flechas De Los Andes is the Edmond de Rothschild family’s foray into New World wine. While scouring the world for unused vineyards in world-class terroirs, Benjamin de Rothschild and Laurent Dassault discovered the picturesque Vista Flores region, in Uco Valley, Argentina. The winery is located at the foot of the snowy Andes mountain range, in a harsh, yet generous climate. It is an arid land, mainly irrigated żeby snowmelt and water from the glacial thaw. This challenging environment results in highly concentrated fruits with brilliant tannic structures, typical of Argentina. Aged in 100% French oak casks, this Cabernet Franc is a powerful gift from one of the world’s most extreme wine-growing regions. Its nose is elegant and refined, revealing notes of rose petals and bell pepper, enveloped in minerality. You will also discover subtle earthy hints, from the oak-ageing process. In the mouth, its highly acidic nature shows itself, forming a juicy and vibrant mouthfeel. There are dense layers of red and black fruit, all supported aby a healthy tannic structure, and supported żeby herbal notes. This is a definitively Argentinian Cabernet Franc, which will be excellent paired with a rich steak, grilled vegetables, or a poultry dish with cranberry sauce.
