Writing with Children (Oxford University Press)

This is one of the Primary Resource Books for Teachers series which address the needs of primary teachers, teacher trainers, and trainee teachers. Each book contains 60 to 100 activities for primary children and 20 photocopiable worksheets along with guidance for the teacher and a description of the aim, level and age range of each activity.Writing with Children offers guidance on introducing and developing writing skills with young learners. The book teaches the Roman alphabet, letter shapes and names, and word recognition, and provides a framework for developing writing skills at word, sentence and text level. It encourages the idea that words can be used creatively and that writing can be fun and provides opportunities for children to practise a wide range of writing skills.
