Ballantine's 12YO Blended Malt to nowość od znanej firmy Ballantine's. Whisky jest mieszanką najróżniejszych whisky jęczmiennych (single malt). Nie ma w niej ani grama whisky zbożowej, jak to ma miejsce we wszelkich odmianach blended, stąd charakterem swoim zbliżona jest do grupy whisky jednakowych. Wiek na etykiecie wskazuje na najmłodszą single Malt użytą do tej kombinacji.
Głęboki, miodowo-złoty kolor to efekt przynajmniej 12 lat spędzonych w beczkach po bourbonie. Trzonem tej mieszanki jest whisky Miltonduff i Glenburgie i inne whisky jednorodne. Aromat świeżych kwiatów przeplata się ze słodką gruszką i skórką pomarańczy, w tle zauważalne niuanse marcepana i migdałów. W smaku słodycz ta wzbogacona zostaje imbirem i cynamonem.
