Niezwykła, dwunastoletnia whisky typu single malt o miedzianozłotej barwie już na samym początku pokazuje swe jedwabiście delikatne aromaty słodkich owoców, miodu ze śladową ilością dymu w tle. W ustach otwiera przed nami królestwo wyszukanych smaków, takich jak miód, czarne porzeczki, a także suszone morele. Finisz lekko wytrawny, po czym szybko przechodzi w korzenny akcent.
firma Cragganmore jest częścią Distillers Classic Malts of Scotland. Jej gorzelnia znajduje się w dolinie pomiędzy Aberlour a Grandtown-on-Spey, w górnej części rzeki Spey. Została tam zbudowana w 1970 roku, czyli stosunkowo niedawno. Wykorzystuje dość twardą wodę, która w połączeniu z płaskimi, kopułowymi destylatorami zapewnia trunkom wyjątkowy poziom złożoności.
