Drink it now or cellar for up to 15 years. No need to decant. Te Whare Ra is a small organic wine estate located in the Renwick sub-region of Marlborough on the South Island of New Zealand. Since 2003, the company, which extends over about 11 hectares of vineyards, has been owned aby Anna and Jason Flowerday, who produce excellent wines with low yields, organic or biodynamic practices in the vineyard and minimal intervention in the cellar. The estate is home to some of Marlborough's oldest vines. The grapes are selected and harvested aby hand from the youngest vines and a part of the oldest vines of the estate vineyard. Fermentation takes place in special tanks, slowly and at low temperatures to maintain the freshness and typical aromas of this grape. As it has not been filtered, the wine is also suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Inspired żeby German Rieslings from the Moselle Valley, Riesling M from Te Whare Ra winery is a lively and invigorating wine with an aromatic profile with a citrus character and hints of white fruit. On the palate, it is refreshing with a marked acidity and intense fruity notes of lime and grapefruit. It is a very balanced wine, with mineral notes and a long and refreshing finish. It is excellent as an aperitif and is perfect with oysters or seafood and with spicy oriental fish dishes.
