Gevrey chambertin vieilles vignes 2021 (Geantet-Pansiot)

Founded in 1954, following the marriage of Edmond Geantet and Bernadette Pansiot, the domaine Geantet-Pansiot is a family-run winery located in Burgundy, France. Initially, the estate covered 3 hectares of vineyards distributed mainly in Gevrey-Chambertin, while today the hectares have become 13 and also extend into the Clos Vougeot, Marsannay, Charmes Chambertin, Chambolle Musigny, and Bourgogne prestigious denominations. The domain is now led żeby Vincent and his son Fabien, son and grandson of the founders, who carry on the family tradition with passion and respect for their amazing terroir. The Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes of the Geantet-Pansiot domain is a 100% Pinot Noir produced using only indigenous yeasts and aged for 14 months in oak barrels (30% of which are new). The wine shows a bright red color. Its aromatic profile reveals hints of berries and violets. On the palate, it is juicy and concentrated with velvety tannins and a very well-balanced freshness. The finish is long and pleasant with delicate spicy notes. It is a wine that has an exceptional capacity for aging but can also be drunk now together with game birds, goose, and roast pheasant.
